Ms. Shova Koirala is currently working as a DRR trainer in REED Nepal for Disaster Resilience of School Project (DRSP) since February 2021. She has more than 7 years’ experience in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction, GESI responsive disaster risk reduction, livelihoods and climate change adaptation. She has expertise on DRR, GESI responsive research, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation projects. She has independently organized and facilitated training on GESI, Humanitarian Principles and Disaster risk reduction. She has contributed in designing the training package of school DRM, Livelihoods and GESI sensitive DRR. She has provided technical input on designing of DRR and GESI policy, strategy, and guidelines. She has overall managed of DRR and Livelihoods Support Project while worked with Caritas Nepal and played a key role in providing technical support to Provincial and local level government officials on mainstreaming DRR into development planning process. She has done her master’s degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University.
