Early Childhood Education and Development ( ECED)  focuses on learning through play, songs and activities based on the research which meets the physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social needs (PILES) of children. REED Nepal since its establishment has been focusing to evoke the curiosity and imagination for natural learning. Learning through play will allow a child to develop cognitively. From this, children learn through their interactions with others. They learn more efficiently and gain more knowledge through activities such as dramatic play, art, and social games as well. We offer the 10 days professional development courses along with refresher training to consolidate the stakeholders’ KASV based on context and need analysis of the area. We provide some play opportunities to develop specific individual areas of development to promote the children’s math skills (one-to-one ratio, patterns, etc.), leadership, communication, literacy skills and so on. We provide the play based ECED learning resources for creating a play-based learning environment. We motivate the stakeholders for  a safe space, correct supervision, and culturally aware and trained teachers who are knowledgeable about the ECED education. From our initiatives, more than 15000 children and 300 teachers of many remote areas benefited from these approaches.
